Day 6 Emerald bay and Pontoon Boating

Talk to any American rich kid and you'll hear them say at some stage "Up at our cabin on the lake..." and a rich kid you'll need to be , for this amazing place is the location of some of the largest and most palatial houses I've ever seen.
West Shore Cafe and Bar
Very expensive pontoon boat $1000 + per day, worth it though.

Do you even have a licence?
Always stay hydrated.

AG at the height of Fannett Island

Emerald Bay in particular is the treasure of this lake, a tear dropped shaped bay with the foreboding Fannett Island as its centre piece. A 1920's derelict tea house that now stands guard over the Vikingsholm Castle on the foreshore.  Accessible by kayak, boat or by swimming ( if no one is watching) the impressive castle stands forthright as custodian on the bay and past eccentric resident Heiress Lora Knight. Surrounded by wild flowers in spring, this lake soon freezes over in winter to take on a new persona of its own.

Horsey time!!!

We swam and frolicked and laughed and swam some more, all the while the warmth of the 33 degree sun kept tickling our backs and warming our hearts.

Can you spot Aquagirl?
